Sorry Patrick, let's get Politic

Yes, I HAVE started the casting...
If you saw my last post, you know I've been working on a new story (what a surprise); a dystopian set in the somewhat near future. It's told in the point of view of El, or Elisabetta, who happens to be the mother of the leader of this new 'Nation'. El also happens to be a leader of something called Mystic Nation, an exclusive group of people who worked years before Jonathan her son was even conceived to put him in this place of power.

The actual novel is different from other dystopian's because it's not set in the POV of people whose rights have been stripped from them but the government who did the stripping.

Most of the novel is centered upon the personal relationships between El, her son Jonathan, Jonathan's father, Patrick and other members of Mystic Nation. There also is a huge part throughout that I'd like to center upon the time before the US fell and how in the world they were able to get into the officials spots in the first place.

FEAST YOUR EYES UPON PATRICK
Well, I'm glad Patrick and I both really like government in the first place.. If I didn't, this would be a hard job. I mean, trying to come up with a plan for a small band of people to take over the government isn't really the hard put. It's more, uh, how in the world am I going to make this realistic? That's honestly one of my main goals. I couldn't care less about anything else--I just want the darn thing to be realistic. Or as realistic as it can be.

So that's what I'm working on this week. As I said, I am interested in government and El's husband and Jonathan's father, Patrick, is also; therefore, us two are going to work together until we can come up with something that isn't too out there.

Then again, isn't that what fiction is all about?
